Some women choose to work up until the day they deliver their baby, while others stop working a month to a couple of weeks before. Regardless of which one you are, you need to have maternity work clothes after you pass the three and a half to four month point in your pregnancy. As soon as your regular clothes begin to become uncomfortable, it is time for you to purchase maternity clothes.
You would be wise to purchase clothing that is proper for the season. Clothing that can be layered is always a good option. You can add or take off layers with the changing weather. This is a good way to stretch your budget and moderate your own changing body temperature.
It’s key to mix and match clothes for work. Fashion mavens want to look as good while they’re pregnant as they did before, and why shouldn’t they? Purchase several pairs of pants in neutral shades, such as tan, black, gray, navy and brown. A nice skirt, such as an A-line style in a neutral color, coupled with a jacket that goes with several different outfits, as well as a dress and an array of tops are really all that you need. Ensure that your bottoms are made from soft, stretchy fabrics that are breathable. Be creative if possible. Choose something with just a hint of color for summer months, but make sure it will match with as many of your separates as possible.
When it is cold outside, you may wish to consider several sweaters layered. The inner layer is often a V-neck or crew neck item, with an outer layer consisting of a long sleeved cardigan of the same color. Stylish enough for work, casual enough for an evening out. Add some attractive dark pants and new accessories, and people will certainly look twice!
Ever imagined how much better and amazing you can look even in a simple nice dress with just the right kind of accessories. No matter what your size is, it doesn’t matter if you are wearing right earrings, necklaces, bracelets etc. These accessories in general are meant to add value to your appearance but they do wonder when they are appropriately matched to your outfit.
During pregnancy, shoes can really make a difference. Even in the early stages of pregnancy, your feet can ache painfully, so when you go shopping for shoes, try to remember this and choose wisely. Black is a great choice of color as it goes great with dresses, shirts and pants. You can choose either a closed pump or a sling-back. Other shoes that are acceptable to wear to work are ballerina flats. Remember that as your pregnancy progresses, your feet might swell, so make sure that the shoes you buy are wider than you usually wear.
Always buy work clothes that are made of soft material that can breath. Make sure you avoid clothes with complicated fasteners or any irritating zippers, buttons or inseams. Aim for fashionable clothes that do not look too girlish or childish.

We all strive to look our best, and choosing the perfect accessories doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive. Great accessories can help dress up or dress down any outfit. Even blue jeans with a sweater can be dressed up with a nice necklace, earrings, bracelet, belt, and shoes. The same jeans and sweater can become very casual with fewer accessories and tennis shoes.
Hair accessories are a great way to make a bold impression. The perfect hair accessory can be functional, holding your hair any way you want it, while at the same time being very fashionable. From the greatest up style to extensions, hair accessories can be your best friend.
Some people don’t consider makeup a fashion accessory, but makeup can do so much for your overall appearance! Mascara helps open your eyes and give you a more confident, awake appearance. Earrings and necklaces can almost literally make or break an outfit. The right earrings and necklace can make you look classy, sophisticated, and beautiful. Making the wrong decision with these important accessories can frame your face in ways that are very unappealing.
Today’s purses and handbags are designed to make their very own fashion statement. There are so many colors and styles, you can almost have a different handbag for every outfit in your wardrobe. Whether you prefer a large purse, a small satchel, or something in between, you can never go wrong with the right purse.
Jewelry like rings and bracelets can really help add dazzle and shine to any outfit, whether it’s jeans and a shirt or that sexy little dress that usually hangs in the closet. We know you have one! Belts can add a lot to almost any outfit. A big, chunky belt can add a lot of flare to your jeans and favorite shirt or add a great waistline to a nice straight dress. The right belt can also make a skirt and blouse look like they were meant to be together, even if they weren’t.
Shoes, though at the bottom, can top off your overall look. Cute little boat shoes or ballerina slippers can do things for a pair of jeans that tennis shoes just can’t. Nice flats or even low to medium heels can also add some great attitude to your favorite jeans. Of course, if you’re going to be wearing that cute little sexy dress that usually hangs in the closet, don’t try to dress it down with tennis shoes – it just doesn’t work that way! See, we know that little dress is in the closet!
So there you have it, a basic rundown of some awesome accessory tips!

Think about people’s shirts. You are probably picturing white dress shirts, golf shirts, t-shirts, sports shirts such as basketball and football jerseys, women’s blouses, maybe even branching out into sweaters but what is the one shirt that almost everyone can recognize and identify with a particular profession? If you are in the medical profession then you know the answer because you are wearing one. That’s right it is scrub tops and people all over the world can recognize them as something doctors, nurses, dentists, technologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals wear while working.
If you figure just about everyone goes to see a doctor for one reason or another and just about everywhere in the world people wear scrubs, then it stands as reason to believe the most recognized shirt in the world would be a scrubs shirt. Of course, not all scrubs shirts look alike anymore. It used to be a standard white and then green, now you can get metro scrubs in different colors and patterns. There are designer scrubs, scrubs with school logos that come in school colors, custom made scrubs, form fitting scrubs, and plus size scrubs. Even though you can get all of these different scrubs, they all still look similar enough that you can almost always recognize scrubs on medical professionals even when they are not in the office, hospital or clinic.
One of the benefits about buying scrubs today is that you can buy them online which means anyone from anywhere in the world can buy the same scrubs. If you live in Africa and you were a graduate of Notre Dame you can get your school colors and logo on your next set of scrubs. If you want custom logos for your office or hospital, you can order that from anywhere in the world. You are not limited much due to your location any longer; the internet is an equalizer for fashion.
Along with scrub shirts you can order other accessories that mix and match with the shirts including of course the scrubs pants. Along with the pants you can get jackets, hats and shoes. All of these are also available on the internet.
Without any market surveys to back up this claim it is still suggested that scrub tops are the most recognized shirts in the world. Now that they come in metro scrubs and plus size scrubs your choices are endless when it comes to mixing and matching colorful scrubs, even though they might not be as recognizable as the old standard green scrubs.

Accessories help create your look, it doesn’t matter how simple or extravagant it may already be by itself. Some of the most popular accessories are sunglasses, bags, socks, jewelry, hair accessories, flowers and scarves. Others not so popular, but as fashionable are gloves and hats. There are no rules for choosing your accessories, but here we offer some tips to help you complement your look.
Think of your body size before choosing your accessories, in general, big accessories are for big people and vice versa, but this is not a rule, some sunglasses are more glamorous when used in a big proportion compared to the size of your face. Accessories are for everyone, if you know how to rock them. Don’t be scared about using a lot of them at once but always manage to not appear overcharged since people may loose you and concentrate on your big necklace and earrings. Accessories are for complementing your clothes, not competing with them; if your dress is very elaborate with beading or print, try to use small and simple accessories like stud earrings and a simple bracelet. If your dress is plain or solid, then you can go all the way with outstanding accessories to be the highlight of the night.
If you are on a budget and can’t afford the ultimate fashion trends, accessories are the easiest way to boom your style, just change them up with simple tops and include some sunglasses, scarves or hats for that chic look. Accessories change your outfit making it look glamorous, casual, and sporty or sophisticate. Before leaving your house, always look in the mirror and ask yourself what you can take off, what you can add, and then evaluate which way your look is better and exactly how you want it to be.
One of the most preferred and fashionable items is the bracelet because of it versatility and thousands of designs. The history of bracelets goes way back to 2.500 AC but bracelets were later popularized by the Romans. At the beginning, they were used by men as well as women.
Purses are a key part of the style since other than glamorous; they also have a function. There are millions of models, sizes and colors for your bag. Usually, the size should be accordingly in proportion to your body size as well; a tall woman should not wear a really small bag since it can make them look even taller. Colors and styles are a personal predilection; don’t be afraid of using bright colors even if they aren’t the exact same ones as your outfit, they add a feminine and fun touch to your aspect.
Even if shoes are part of your ensemble, the type of model you choose to wear can point out the pros and cons of your legs. Your shoes become an extension of your legs so it is extremely important to choose correctly depending on the length of your dress or skirt.

The following are travel packing tips based on experience. I have gone to other countries for a month or more with nothing but a carry-on bag that weighed ten pounds. In fact, my number one travel tip is to go light whenever you can. The simplify of traveling light makes almost any trip more enjoyable.
Unfortunately, going with only carry-on luggage is getting more difficult due to the newest rules about what you can actually carry on a plane. If you do want to keep it to just one bag that goes with you on the plane, check the latest regulations and leave behind anything that isn’t allowed. It doesn’t add that much expense to a trip to just buy these things at your destination.
In fact, buying things as you go is a great way to simplify packing. Why bring twenty things just in case you need them, and then have to lug them around for the sake of the six you actually use? If it is a vacation in particular, why not plan just a little extra expense, and buy necessities as you travel? Many have found that this is more practical and relaxing than over-planning a trip and over-weighting the luggage.
Some Other Travel Packing Tips
- Jewelry and other valuables are usually not covered by the luggage insurance the airline provides. Pack these items in your carry-on bag.
- Silk shirts can be rolled carefully so they will wrinkle less in soft-sided luggage.
- To conserve space, buy low-bulk items for travel. A down coat, for example, will compress to a fourth of the size of other coats, and keep you just as warm.
- Lightweight travel pants, made of soft nylon derivatives are very light, tough, and pack small. They are often found where they sell outdoor gear, but some styles are dressy enough for use almost anywhere.
- To bring more in less space, set aside your thinnest socks, lightest clothes and smallest items for travel. A small hairbrush may work just as well as a large one, for example. You might get to bring many more potentially useful items, and still have a smaller bag in this way.
- If you buy a bulky gift for a family member or friend back home, you may want to send it to them instead of carrying it around for weeks while traveling.
- Don’t overstuff your luggage. remember that it may be opened and inspected, and the security officials may not know how to fit it all back in.
- Don’t pack important documents, like passports and identification, in your luggage. Carry these on your person, preferably in a security pouch or interior pocket.
- Be careful when packing shampoo, perfume, skin cream and other liquids. Plane cargo areas are often not pressurized fully, so the tops can pop off of bottles and other containers. For added safety, pack such items in a sealed ziplock bag.
- Carry a list of what is in your luggage, in case you need to file a claim for lost bags.
In addition to using the travel packing tips above, have a good packing routine. For example, start by considering every circumstance you may be in during your trip, and making a list of items you’ll need. Then, after packing, consider each item, and remove anything that really isn’t likely to be used – especially if it can be easily obtained at your destination.

Victorian nightgown styles have always had a romantic appeal down through the years continuing to drop in and out of fashion on a fairly regular basis. Now however you can get hold of these long flowing visions of white cotton without having to pay through the nose to a vintage clothing collector. With so many specialist online stores out there it was only a matter of time before things like the Victorian nightgown became easily available to purchase. The great thing about the internet is how sellers now have access to huge online markets for virtually anything you care to imagine. In the past the viability of selling something like a Victorian nightdress to a local market would most certainly been eroded by the low demand. Selling such a thing online however taps into the huge global market which in turn has given rise to a multitude of specialist suppliers offering goods for every diverse taste.
So this is all good news for you lovers of cool crisp cotton Victorian nightgowns. The fact is that there are still loads of folks out there who simply adore the feel of soft cotton against their skin at night. They are not interested in these trendy short and vest pajama sets in slinky satins and cotton jersey materials that seem to be all the rage right now. They much prefer a garment that covers the body all snug with a high button collar and long sleeves just like the original Victorian nightdress of years gone by. Of course the genuine antique articles would cost a great deal of money and they are probably too old to actually wear without detracting from their value.
All of this is no longer a problem though because there are plenty of places where you can now buy a Victorian style nightgown brand new and even made to measure. Now you can experience the warm cozy sensation of wearing pure white cotton to bed every night at a price you can afford. Imagine sliding between your pure white sheets at night whilst wearing a long crisp cotton creation all of your own. if you want to go all the way there are some beautiful white cotton house coats available in the same Victorian nightdress style. Both garments would probably be trimmed with delicate feminine satin bows and beautiful broiderie anglaise lace.
These retro style nightgowns are made from cool crisp polyester cotton fabric which is easy to care for whilst extremely durable. This is the ideal choice of material because it will come up cool crisp and dazzling white no matter how often you launder it. Once pressed they look absolutely gorgeous all over again ready for you to slip into all that lovely white cotton for bed. These lovely creations can also still be made in the heavier thick flannel materials as well if that’s what you prefer. They are a throwback however to the days before double glazing and central heating. Whatever type of Victorian nightdress style you are looking for there are plenty of online stores out there that will make it for you in your size and choice of fabric. Sweet dreams!

However it may seem from past experiences, it is not really that much more difficult to shop for jeans just because you are limited to the large sizes. The frustrating reality is that locating flattering, comfortable dungarees is a daunting proposition for any woman of any size, even the skinniest one. A pair of jeans might look all right in the dressing room of the department store, but they can make you feel like you’re trapped in a denim straitjacket when you’re wearing them for hours. But finding just the right large size jeans for you doesn’t necessarily have to entail a miserable shopping experience. Keep the following pointers in mind on your next shopping trip for jeans.
Don’t assume that you must wear baggy jeans just because you are a plus sized woman. Always keep in mind that plus sized and oversized are not synonymous terms. Learn to love your body instead of constantly trying to hide it. While you body may not be perfect, whose really is? Trying to hide your hips and legs behind baggy jeans only makes you look frumpy, and make you look bigger, too. There are different jean types for different bodies, and you should find jeans that fit your body. Talk to a professional, or even consider having your jeans professionally tailored for the perfect fit.
We’ve all heard the old wives’ tale that wearing black makes us look slimmer. This adage may hold true for people who aren’t over weight, but it does little for a plus size figure trying to wear a pair of black jeans. There are certain colors that you should definitely wear because they go well with your skin tones and flatter your face, but to look slimmer, you need to concentrate on tailoring, cut and style instead of color. As hard as it may be to break with the popular notion of always buying black, it really isn’t always the best choice. It’s only one choice out of many colors of plus size jeans on the market.
As with everything else, each individual has specific items that are better suited to their frame. This aphorism also applies to denim pants and skirts. Look at yourself in the mirror, or even better, go to a tailor. Take note of where your mass rests, and what sort of plus sized jeans will compliment your frame. Think about what pieces you can reveal, and which should be covered.
Some always find it hard to find plus size jeans. But, it can be made easier with a little effort put into searching for the most flattering plus size jeans for your body. Be very careful in your search and never hesitate to try out new designers. It will pay off well at the end of the day.

Giorgio Armani is a popular menswear brand of clothing all over collection world. The fashion house is also a source of superior and signature apparel. Through the years, the label has been making Italy proud because the designer and founder of the company is a pure Italian by heart and by legacy.
Like many other fashion designers, Armani had humble beginnings. While young, he was confused and tried entering a few other professions. He got into medicine before shifting gears to pursue a career in photography, which did not work out. From there, he worked as a window dresser in an Italian department store before finally getting into fashion designing.
With his skills and sheer talent for styling and designing clothes, Armani was able to establish his own design house in 1974. Together with venture partner and friend Sergio Galeotti, he put up a company called Giorgio Armani SpA. Initially, the company carried all men’s wear. A year after, lines for women were also unveiled.
Taking the lead from other fashion designers, Armani developed and launched his own perfume line in 1982. As usual and typical of the brand, perfumes were originally targeted for the male population. Fragrances for women followed afterwards. Among the most famous of the brands perfumes are the Emporio, Acqua di Gio, Remix, and Attitude, all for men, while for women there are striking names like Sensi, Beyonce Knowles’ and Armani Le Perfum.
Such perfumes are well known around the world. Demand for the products has also been very high since the company has actively distributed them. After perfumes, many other personal products came from the Armani brand like sunglasses, shoes and even several business accessories.
It might be because of competition, but another characteristics that separates and distinguishes Giorgio Armani from the rest is his unusual dislike for fellow Italian designers Valentino and Gianni Versace. As much as possible, he has always been emphasizing that he do not want anything to do with the two designers.
Giorgio Armani is one of the most admirable designers of the current generation. People around the world should be proud and satisfied that they could still get the chance to wear designs and clothing from this wonderful brand.

One such leading lady is Diane von Furstenberg (DVF), named President of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in 2006, and well-known fashion designer. DVF began her legacy in 1970 with a thirty thousand dollar investment, and by 1973 was known for her revolutionary design of the “wrap dress,” which is on display in the Costume Institute section of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. After several decades of successful businesses, to include a cosmetic line, publishing house, design and marketing studio and home-shopping venture – DVF has created a line of women’s high-end apparel, and was also The International Center in New York’s Award of Excellence recipient. With such a long and distinguished career DVF is truly a leading lady in the fashion industry.
Wielding the command to make or break designers is an awesome responsibility in the fashion industry, and there are those who are of the opinion that the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, has just such powers. Despite Vogue’s status as the top publication in prestige and circulation among fashion magazines, Wintour has chosen to use her powers for the positive and has brought the magazine to a broader audience by giving marriage tips and mentoring struggling designers. “I have always believed that it is important to understand Vogue’s mission in broad and socially responsible terms,” says Wintour, who has spearheaded several functions creating jobs and benefiting charities. To wield such power for the benefit of others is why she has been chosen as one of our leading ladies.
Another leading lady of fashion magazines is Linda Wells, Editor-in-Chief of Allure. While most fashion magazines highlight trend setting runway designs and beauty tips, this powerhouse editor, from Greenwich deals with the hard hitting issues that women face in this day and time. “We were the first women’s magazine ever to write about the dangers of breast implants,” Wells states. “We did the first story on models who were addicted to heroin.” This revolutionary approach for a women’s fashion magazine has sky rocketed Allure’s circulation to award winning status from the advertising and publishing community. With an impressive career legacy which include (just to name a few) editorial assistant at Vogue, beauty editor for The New York Times Magazine, guest appearances on Oprah and “Entertainment Tonight” – her leading lady status is not at all surprising.
Our next leading lady of fashion has a reputation for being unique and groundbreaking in her knowledge of fashion, and her approach as editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar. The notable Glenda Bailey, who also served as the editor of Marie Claire’s U.S. edition in 1996, after serving as the founding editor for eight years for the British Marie Claire in 1988, brought the magazine to such heights as to be awarded the status of Adweek’s Top 10 Hottest Magazines four years in a row. Along with three Magazine Editor of the Year Awards, five time winner of Magazine of the Year, and Amnesty International Awards winner twice, Bailey earned a fashion design degree from Kingston University in England. Awards of this magnitude are indicative of the formidable influence that this leading lady of fashion exhibits.
The last, legacy perfume certainly in no way least of our leading ladies of fashion is Fern Mallis, Senior VP of New York’s IMG Fashion, one of the leading fashion event planners. She has earned this position due to her reputation by serving as Executive Director in 1993 on the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and as the organizational genius behind the first “Fashion Week” which was known as 7th on Sixth at that time. With her ability to coordinate eighty temperamental top designers with her pleasant and calm personality along with her ability to handle the paparazzi; such multi-million dollar events such as the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York is in the capable hands of this high-powered fashion trend setter. Fashion Week in New York is a defining event in the fashion world, making this multi-million dollar extravaganza a feather in the cap of our phenomenal leading lady Fern Mallis.
