A lot of the time when you hear of someone getting divorced, they have an attorney – it’s really not necessary. The reason most people get an attorney is to ensure that they are protected and that the divorce is going to be fair for them as well as their spouse. However, attorneys are expensive and if you can avoid hiring one, you can save thousands of dollars. Here are some tips on how to get a divorce without hiring an attorney.
Do It Yourself
You can easily file for divorce on your own without the aid of an attorney. It’s as easy as filling out the necessary forms. You can obtain forms from your local civil court division. Just make sure you have the correct forms for your state so you won’t experience any problems or delays with your divorce proceedings. Another thing you want to check on is the filing fees. Although they are pretty inexpensive, you want to be prepared so that things go smoothly when you go to file your papers.
Have a Paralegal Draft Up the Forms for You
Another great way to get a divorce without an attorney is to hire a paralegal or legal assistant to draft up the forms for you. This is a great option if you feel uncomfortable filling out and filing the forms yourself. He or she can ensure that you’ve covered everything and make the chances of a problem or hitch very low. You can ask friends for a recommendation or check your local phone book. If you use the latter method, call around and make sure you’re comfortable with the paralegal before you hire them to work for you. Also, keep in mind that the person you’re hiring isn’t able to render legal advice as this requires specific legal training.
Seek a Mediator
Mediation is another option for those who don’t want to hire an attorney. With mediation, you and your spouse are able to calmly and effectively decide who gets what and how the division of property and assets will work. Because you will need a trained mediator to help you sort things out, even the most bitter and hostile of spouses can work together to come up with a solution that will work for both parties. You won’t need a lawyer and you can avoid the circus of courtroom litigation. An added bonus is the fact that you decide where your stuff goes rather than some judge who knows very little about you and your situation. Mediation is a great way to get divorced without an attorney.
By using these methods, you are able to seek a divorce without the help of an attorney. Not only can this save you thousands of dollars but you have the potential of saving yourself a lot of heartache as well. Good luck.

This is the moment all guys dread. Your lady is trying on a new dress and drops the bomb- “How do I look in this dress. Does it make me look fat?” Look, here’s the thing. Women never ask you direct questions like that because they want to hear a truthful answer.
Never.
This goes against everything that guys are used to. When their buddy asks them a question or asks for helps, guys are used answering directly and in a logical fashion. In this case, that’s just about the worst thing you can do.
See, she’s not asking you uncomfortable questions about her appearance because she has a deep curiosity that needs to be answered. No, her question is not really a question at all, but actually a request.
A request for approval.
Your girl wants to feel like you think that she is the most gorgeous, beautiful princess in the world. She obviously knows that she’s not the most beautiful woman in the world, but no matter. She wants YOU to think that. So when she puts on that dress and starts feeling insecure, she wants you, her MAN, the one who thinks she’s the hottest stuff in the world to REASSURE her that she is.
Next time you get a question from you lady about her figure or her hair or her makeup or whatever, just remember, there’s only one approved answer that would satisfy her needs. Tell her she’s the most beautiful woman in the world. And mean it. She will be reassured. And you’ll be reassured knowing you’ve avoided an ugly incident.

You might be surprised to learn that just about every human being has 100,000 strands of hair on their heads. However, because of differences in texture, some people appear to have less hair, and some people appear to have a whole lot more.
What is texture?
Texture is the circumference of each individual strand of hair. If you have fine hair then your hair has a small circumference and you appear to have less hair on your head. Conversely, if you have coarse hair then your hair has a larger circumference and this bulk makes you appear to have a lot more hair than someone with finer hair texture.
Ultimately, the texture of your hair is simply a matter of genetics; if your parents have coarse hair, you will also, if they have finer hair, you will too. However, thankfully the hair care industry has developed ways you can enhance and modify your hair’s natural texture to achieve the popular styling choices you desire.
Fine Textured Hair
Fine textured hair is generally straight and can appear limp because of residues from hair care products. It can easily be processed by perming and coloring. However, it is important to not over-process fine hair because it can be easily damaged.
There are many things you can do to enhance the texture of fine hair. Some of them are:
Use a Clarifying Shampoo – To reduce residues and oils you should use a clarifying shampoo on fine hair. This will strip off the residue left by shampoos, conditioners, and styling products. Kenra manufactures a shampoo called: Kenra Clarifying Shampoo. Kenra’s Clarifying Shampoo is ideal for removing mineral deposits and chemical build-up from hair styling products. However, while this shampoo cleanses your hair, it also adds shine and body.
Use Mousse While Wet – After you shampoo with a clarifying shampoo, adding mousse to your hair (when it is wet) can give it added texture. Start at the roots and massage the mousse into your hair and then let it air dry, or dry it with a hairdryer on low heat. Not everyone wants to use the same hold factor in a mousse. There is a very wide variety of mousses to choose from, however I have three different options to look at. First is the Alterna Life Volumizing Spray Mousse. This is an aerosol mousse that has a light to medium hold. The Alterna Life Mousse was manufactured with fine and thin hair in mind. The exclusive LIFE blend of extracts provides weightless thickening agents that define, maintain, and preserve volume all day long. This product also contains anti humectants that effectively repel humidity, leaving your hair with a smooth texture and a radiant shine.
If you need more of a hold, I would go with a medium hold mousse. An example of this is the Biosilk Silk Mousse. This is an alcohol free mousse that is rich, creamy, and infused with concentrated silk and botanical extracts which add volume and shine.
If you require a strong holding mousse, I would recommend the Brocato Volumizing Foam. This product is a strong holding mousse that creates visual texture and stunning shine. This mousse allows your hair style to be firm, yet still moveable. This is an exceptional volumizing foam with a powerful hold that is great for all hair types!
Color Your Fine Hair – Another good way to add texture to fine hair is to color it. Coloring your hair adds texture to it by enlarging the hair shaft.
Coarse Textured Hair
Coarse, textured hair is generally thicker and harder to process. Coarse hair resists perming, straightening, and coloring.
There are a few things you can do to work with the texture of coarse hair. Some of them are:
Add Moisture – Coarse hair needs added moisture to control frizz and curl. By using a good conditioner you can insure you course hair will lay flatter and be shinier. Some manufacturers offer leave in treatments, rinse-out treatments, or hydrating conditioners that will help to incorporate moisture back into your hair. Bonacure makes a rinse-out treatment entitled Bonacure Moisture Treatment. This is a great product for naturally dry, or naturally coarse hair. This product reconstructs the moisture in your hair shaft from the inside out, which balances the moisture in your hair.
Joico makes a leave-in detangler that you can use on a daily basis which is called Joico Daily Leave-in Detangler. This is a conditioning agent that helps to condition, detangle, and make hair easier to manage. This product will also help you restore the moisture balance in your hair.
People rave about Pureology products and what they do for their hair, and that is why I would recommend the Pureology Hydrating Conditioner. The hydrating conditioner works from the inside out to keep your hair color fresh and your hair detangled ,all with renewed body and amazing shine! Hair is left conditioned, color protected, and shiny!
Air Dry – One of the most important things you can do for coarse hair is to let it air dry. Wash it, condition it, and then let it dry on its own. By not handling your hair too much while it is drying, it will not frizz.
Whether you have fine hair, coarse hair, or something in between, you can work with it by learning about texture and which products to use and which to avoid. By using products that are beneficial for your hair texture, you can better amplify the hair that you were given.

All About Pregnancy Announcements Cards – Spread the Great News and Job!
Pregnancy announcements are a great way to reach all of the friends and relatives of a mother-to-be. They will appreciate hearing directly from the parents-to-be, rather than hearing word of mouth about a pregnancy. If possible, pregnancy cards should be sent before any baby shower invitations are sent. As a general rule, expecting parents should try to send personalized pregnancy announcements around the 10th or 12th weeks of pregnancy. After all, the exciting news is bound to spread like wildfire, and the proud parents-to-be should try to tell as many people as possible directly!
The styles and trends in custom cards are similar to birth announcements. Modern designs, cute images of baby items or a pregnant mom silhouette are all popular. Stork announcements are also a charming option. If the cards are sent after the parents know the gender of the baby, printable pregnancy announcements can be geared for a boy or girl as appropriate. If parents know the nursery room theme or colors, the announcement can give the recipients a sneak peak of the nursery. This kind of personalization is great for the mother-to-be that has many out of town friends and relatives. The more the recipient feels they know about the new baby, the more special they feel.
By sending pregnancy announcement cards, parents are also saving themselves some time when they get to the announcement of the baby. The name and address list for the mailings should be virtually the same as the list for the printed birth announcements. Organization is key after the baby is born so already having a list of recipients from the announcements can be sleep saving! Parents will also get out all of the kinks with the cards – they will know how many announcement cards they need to send, are guaranteed not to miss anyone important (they will find out who they missed quite quickly if they miss them with the announcement!) and they will have a system down to stuff envelopes and address announcements quickly.
The joy of pregnancy should be shared with all of the family and friends. Pregnancy cards can be a way to show gratitude, keep in touch with distant loved ones and tell them a little bit about the family that is expecting the baby. The announcements usually indicate the expected birth date, but if parents choose to only announce the month, season or major holiday around the expected date, that is also a nice option. If it is not the first child, cards can also be worded with the siblings-to-be announcing the expected baby. Often times the older siblings are very excited about their new baby sibling and feel extra special if their names are on the announcement cards.
Whatever style pregnancy card is used, the important thing to remember is the joy and excitement of the new baby. Sharing that joy by an announcement spreads the joy around! Some websites have lots of unique pregnancy announcements wording verses, wording ideas and sayings to get your cards just the way you want.

Most people have joined in the revolution of buying products online. Clothes, gifts and even food can be purchased online, yet there can be problems associated with purchasing some items on the internet. This is especially true if it is a new item such as a piece of clothing or a pair of shoes.
Perfumes online can prove problematic as well. While you can sniff the perfume of your choice at a department store, that cannot be done with an online purchase of a high price or discount perfume.
If you are buying your standard, tried and true perfume and cologne choices from an online store, then that is fine. But if you are buying new, untried women fragrances, then that is a bit risky. Buying perfumes online does not give you the luxury of testing out a new fragrance before you make that purchase. Sure a friend may wear the stuff all the time, but unless you give it a try you will not know how it will react on you.
So if you are buying a new perfume online, then this can be a risky. You have no real idea what it will smell like. The answer is to go to your local department store that features a perfume and cologne counter, and spray or dab a fragrance on your skin. Here is the trick: you are only going to be able to do this one at a time.
Most people make the mistake of smelling the cards and going from there. You need to actually spray your wrist and walk away for a bit. Let it have a chance to do its work. Do not make the mistake of going back and trying on a different scent that same day. Wear the one for the rest of the day.
Okay, so you have worn the perfume and you love the way it smells on you. However, if you have worn the fragrance and it does not seem to be sitting well, or seems to have a cloying feel about it, then go back and try a different scent until you find one you do like.
Then go ahead and buy your perfumes online. You may even want to try some designer fragrances. It is a great way to save a ton of money and will minimize the risk of having fifteen bottles of unused perfume sitting on a shelf.

If you are like me, you have tried everything from mayonnaise to that expensive French stuff from your salon to help condition your hair. My hair takes a beating from all the heat appliances I enjoy. For years, my hair would frizz in defiance against all that damage. But I finally have a technique that has worked a miracle for my locks:
Wash your hair every other night to keep the natural oils in tact.
This will keep you from having to blow dry in the morning, as it will dry naturally over night.
Always switch between two shampoos and conditioners. Your hair gets used to the ingredients in one, making it inactive to do its job.
Use a good strengthening product on your wet hair before going to sleep.
This will enable the product to seep deeper into the hair shaft before being styled the next day.
The following morning, put some shine serum in your hair to protect it from further styling damage.
Do this by putting a small amount in the palm of your hand, rub hands together to produce warmth, and then apply evenly through dry strands.
Continue this procedure for two weeks. Your hair’s texture should change greatly in this time frame.
Once you feel as if your strands are healthy, you may continue this process just once a week or every other week if needed.
Please be aware that sometimes, hair can be too damaged to correct. If you think this may be the case, please don’t waist time and money trying to correct it. Go to your stylist and see what he/she thinks. In some instances, the only thing that can be done is to cut off the brittle strands.

The following are travel packing tips based on experience. I have gone to other countries for a month or more with nothing but a carry-on bag that weighed ten pounds. In fact, my number one travel tip is to go light whenever you can. The simplify of traveling light makes almost any trip more enjoyable.
Unfortunately, going with only carry-on luggage is getting more difficult due to the newest rules about what you can actually carry on a plane. If you do want to keep it to just one bag that goes with you on the plane, check the latest regulations and leave behind anything that isn’t allowed. It doesn’t add that much expense to a trip to just buy these things at your destination.
In fact, buying things as you go is a great way to simplify packing. Why bring twenty things just in case you need them, and then have to lug them around for the sake of the six you actually use? If it is a vacation in particular, why not plan just a little extra expense, and buy necessities as you travel? Many have found that this is more practical and relaxing than over-planning a trip and over-weighting the luggage.
Some Other Travel Packing Tips
- Jewelry and other valuables are usually not covered by the luggage insurance the airline provides. Pack these items in your carry-on bag.
- Silk shirts can be rolled carefully so they will wrinkle less in soft-sided luggage.
- To conserve space, buy low-bulk items for travel. A down coat, for example, will compress to a fourth of the size of other coats, and keep you just as warm.
- Lightweight travel pants, made of soft nylon derivatives are very light, tough, and pack small. They are often found where they sell outdoor gear, but some styles are dressy enough for use almost anywhere.
- To bring more in less space, set aside your thinnest socks, lightest clothes and smallest items for travel. A small hairbrush may work just as well as a large one, for example. You might get to bring many more potentially useful items, and still have a smaller bag in this way.
- If you buy a bulky gift for a family member or friend back home, you may want to send it to them instead of carrying it around for weeks while traveling.
- Don’t overstuff your luggage. remember that it may be opened and inspected, and the security officials may not know how to fit it all back in.
- Don’t pack important documents, like passports and identification, in your luggage. Carry these on your person, preferably in a security pouch or interior pocket.
- Be careful when packing shampoo, perfume, skin cream and other liquids. Plane cargo areas are often not pressurized fully, so the tops can pop off of bottles and other containers. For added safety, pack such items in a sealed ziplock bag.
- Carry a list of what is in your luggage, in case you need to file a claim for lost bags.
In addition to using the travel packing tips above, have a good packing routine. For example, start by considering every circumstance you may be in during your trip, and making a list of items you’ll need. Then, after packing, consider each item, and remove anything that really isn’t likely to be used – especially if it can be easily obtained at your destination.

Today’s woman has so many concerns throughout the day. No longer is the stereotypical stay-at-home mom a reality. Many a woman is juggling a career, kids, community activities, and possibly home-schooling, in addition to everyday chores. In a 24-hour day, she stuffs 30-40 hours of living. Sometimes, it is hard to remember that she is not superwoman, and sometimes what she wants is a little silk and lace for Christmas.
A woman is good at so many occupations. Touted as the weaker sex, a woman can usually work a man under the table, so to speak. Although role sharing is becoming more acceptable, who is usually the one who cleans and cooks after work, bathes the kids, tucks them in, and then starts a load of laundry for work tomorrow? Under similar conditions, no wonder a woman often feels unappreciated.
Sometimes, a woman deserves a little pampering. What she wants is a little silk and lace, and to feel beautifully feminine. So, why not consider something a little different for Christmas this year? Instead of getting her something for the home, or an item she needs regardless of the holiday, give her something special in her stocking; or, simply give her stockings.
A gift certificate or a package from a lingerie store is much more than the expected nowadays. In addition to the expected sleepwear, specialty shops sell seasonal lingerie. Stockings for the holidays, and other accessories befitting the season, are only a small part of the inventory.
Lounge wear, costumes, and shoes are also available for making her spirit a little brighter. The choices are virtually countless. Once you have made the decision to purchase a little silk and lace for Christmas, you will definitely be challenged to pick out the perfect gift.
Do not simply give up and give her the standard fare. Remember, a gift certificate is always an option if you cannot decide. Otherwise, pick out several items and give her a smorgasbord of silk and lace for Christmas.
